Marta Veludo, the Director of our Online Master in Art Direction, has been honoured with the prestigious “Favourite Lecturer Award” at The Design Kids Awards 2025. This recognition places Marta among the most outstanding educators from internationally renowned institutions such as Parsons School of Design (New York), Shillington School of Graphic Design (Toronto, Australia), Pratt Institute (Indianapolis), and Maryland Institute College of Art (Baltimore, New York).
Marta Veludo is a graphic designer based in Amsterdam whose creative approach draws on diverse influences, including the internet, pop culture, folk art, and the visual dynamics of discount stores. Her interest in invention, colour, movement, and composition is reflected in her practice, which spans both cultural and commercial projects.
With a multidisciplinary style, Marta conceptualises and develops projects ranging from digital to three-dimensional, creating immersive experiences that captivate attention and spark the imagination. Her innovative vision and ability to connect different disciplines have established her as a leading figure in contemporary design.
The Design Kids Awards are an annual initiative celebrating emerging talent in graphic design on a global scale. With an accessible and disruptive approach, these awards highlight both promising students and influential educators.
Unlike traditional competitions, the TDK Awards remove financial barriers, offering students and recent graduates a free platform to showcase their creativity. Participants submit a five-page portfolio, which is evaluated by a panel of ten industry judges based on creativity, potential, and presentation.
In addition to awarding students, the 2025 TDK Awards introduced the “Favourite Lecturer Award,” a recognition based on votes from students themselves. This award celebrates educators who have been instrumental in shaping the creative development of the next generation. According to the organisers:

“I feel grateful, and I also think it’s very important to show that you can be both: have a professional career and share the knowledge that comes from that experience, something that is sometimes missing in educational institutions”
