LABASAD partners with the Directors of its Master’s program to present a creative collaboration at OFFF Barcelona 2025

As the Educational Sponsor at OFFF 2025, we will contribute to this special edition with unique proposals developed alongside Pere Ortega, Adrià Chalaux, Albert Moreu, and Marco Ontano.

From 8th to 10th May, Barcelona will become the global epicentre of creativity as it hosts the 25th edition of OFFF, the International Festival of Art, Creativity, and Digital Design. At LABASAD, we are proud to participate as an educational sponsor of this landmark event, sharing the stage with leading industry names such as Adobe, Procreate, Houdini, and Maxon.

In this context, we present the LABASAD Creators’ Playground, an interactive and immersive stand that will invite the public to explore, experiment, and play with the creative disciplines that form part of our school. The concept, design, and production of this space are being developed in collaboration with Pere Ortega, Director of the Máster Online en Diseño de Espacios Temporales y Arquitectura Efímera in Spanish. An architect trained at the ETSA in Barcelona and founder of ColourCommunity, Pere has worked with brands such as BMW, Lladró, and Roca, as well as cultural institutions including the Picasso Museum, CCCB, the Miró Foundation, and IVAM. His comprehensive, aesthetic, and structural approach will be key to transforming the stand into an immersive environment that reflects LABASAD’s innovative identity.

For the development of the main interactive experiences within the Creators’ Playground, we have had the privilege of collaborating with Adrià Chalaux and Albert Moreu, co-directors of the Máster Online en Programación para Creativos in Spanish and co-founders of Collserola — a renowned studio with over 15 years of experience specialising in digital projects, visual identities, and web development.

Their contribution to the festival will take the form of an interactive application designed especially for this edition, linked to yet-to-be-revealed activities that visitors will be able to explore exclusively. This proposal blends design, technology, and play, in perfect harmony with our educational philosophy.

Adrià Chalaux, creative director and designer specialising in programming, is a leading figure at the intersection of design and technology. With a background in graphic design and a passion for code, he has become an expert in conceiving and developing innovative digital experiences, engaging in both visual design and programming. Recently, he has turned part of his career towards teaching, with the aim of introducing designers to the expansive, experimental, and stimulating nature of code.

Albert Moreu, meanwhile, has built his career as a front-end and WordPress developer, managing countless projects with high visual and technical demands. His training in technical photography and multimedia design, combined with his aesthetic sensitivity and deep understanding of the digital environment, allows him to collaborate closely with creatives and designers. In recent years, he too has chosen to share his expertise with new generations of programmers and designers, advocating for a visual, accessible, and creative approach to teaching code.

One of the most anticipated moments of the festival will be the exclusive workshop, “Less Genius, More Human”, by Marco Ontano, Director of LABASAD’s Online Master in Creative Direction. The workshop will take place on 10th May from 14:00 to 17:00, promising to be a revealing and inspiring experience.

Marco Ontano is both a conceptual and hands-on creative director. With over 15 years of experience at Europe’s most prestigious agencies and collaborations with major global brands, he chose to embrace the freedom of freelancing to explore new challenges and diverse projects. A lover of art, music, photography, and typography, Marco always keeps a keen eye on technological innovations and visual trends. He currently combines his professional practice with teaching in Turin, London, and Barcelona.

In a world that celebrates the figure of the “lone genius”, this workshop proposes a shift in perspective: valuing empathy, collaboration, and active listening as true drivers of creativity. Through real-life case studies, Marco will demonstrate how some of the most successful projects emerged by prioritising human needs over creative ego. The workshop will also tackle a common dilemma: how the desire to be recognised as creative professionals can sometimes hinder rather than propel us forward.

During the practical part of the workshop, participants will undertake a creative exercise that encourages adaptability, trust, and a fresh perspective on creative authorship. The workshop is designed to be dynamic, stimulating, and a break from the traditional solitary creative process — proving that no creative is an island.

The session is particularly aimed at creatives of all levels wishing to explore new forms of teamwork, as well as designers, art directors, copywriters, and strategists keen to enhance their collective thinking. It is also ideal for freelancers and creative teams seeking to adopt more open and collaborative dynamics, and for students or recent graduates who wish to move beyond individual talent and delve into the principles of shared creativity.
