Jaqui Hiltermann

Jaqui Hiltermann is a writer with a PhD in Media Studies from the University of Cape Town. She specialises in human geography and cultural studies– how people behave in and interact with space and place informs her work. Jaqui has lectured and tutored at numerous South African tertiary institutions and has published research in her field. Jaqui runs a small creative agency, Jackal & Hide, with her partner. Jackal & Hide merges mural art, design, and storytelling to bring space, particularly public space, to life. Her philosophy is that the best way to change people is to change our environment, and that the best way to learn is to tell a good story.
